Oh No!

And so it begins ... the endless hours spent scrolling through enumerable video clips ... movies, music, TV, video games, even the Dalai Lama's to be found if you care to look ... YouTube and Google Video. I balme Paila and Guillaume.

Below is a clip from the film A Hard Day's Night with the Beatles doing I'm Happy Just To Dance With You. The picture looks a little stretched, as if they'd taken a widescreen image and made it full screen, but it's still kind of fun to watch :-)

And one more ... below is Gabriel's Oboe from the movie The Mission (Ennio Morricone - Gabriel's Oboe from "The Mission" concert)

Hi :-)

I wasn't able to play the YouTube videos either until I downloaded the Flash program ... it's free.

But if you'd just like to listen to the music of Gabriel's Oboe, I also have the mp3 file posted here

I am so sorry Crystal (you should blame A from "to the quiet" beacuse he inspired me.:-). But when I look at this post, well maybe I am not that sorry. Thanks for GarbrielĀ“s oboe.

I got it, Crystal, thanks. What a nice piece to listen too, especially remembering the context of that scene in the movie.

Crystal,

I should be ashame to admit that I missed this movie but then when am I ever ashamed to speak my mind? (lol)

I'm going to make an effort to see "The Mission" and if it's as good as Gabriel's Oboe music peace then it should be very exiting indeed.

Thank You for sharing.

Hi Crystal,
I tried to comment yesterday, but google was to busy buying youtube for 1.65 billion to allow me to sign in.

I love this soundtrack. I'm also a big fan of Morricone's soundtrack for Cinema Paradiso -- he does the whole thing, except the beautiful love theme composed by his son Andrea.

If you have never seen Cinema Paradiso, I recommend it. Have kleenex handy.

Crystal,

Sorry! I know about the wasted hours looking to see what's available on youTube! My Favorites is growing exponentially.

The Dalai Lama, really? Is he dancing or singing? Love to see a Buddhist Technicolor musical.

Hi Liam,

I've never seen Cinema Paradiso ... I'll have to look it up - thanks.

Guillame,

yep, my sister and I watched the YouTube Dalai Lama giving a talk someplace in Germany :-)

BTW, Liam and Guillame, I saw there was a plane crash in NYC - hope you guys are ok.

Yes, luckily it was a small accident -- though hearing about a plane crashing into a building in New York does make us nervous.

Ha! Welcome to YouTube. Enjoy it while it lasts. It probably won't take Google long to make it crash and burn.

But hey, Google, thanks for the free blog service anyhow.
